At Wind & Tide, we believe every child has the ability to be a leader in their own unique way. Our Leadership Program nourishes the young leaders of tomorrow by instilling integrity, values and self-confidence; skills they will need to impact the world around them.
Ready to Lead is designed for students in Grades 3-6. Classes run one day per week, from September to April, with a presentation event in January and a formal presentation evening in April.
Ready to Lead provides students with the tools and opportunity to learn how to be a leader in their own way. Building upon the communication skills mastered in Toastminors, Ready to Lead students are ready to expand those skills by focusing on public discourse, critical thinking and applying action through leadership.
Through engaging curriculum, Ready to Lead models and mentors effective leadership strategies that are designed to empower children to discuss matters relevant to themselves and their communities. Guided by Steven Covey's book, "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People," this program promotes self-confidence and seeks to provide youth with the practical tools and platform to lead with vision, empathy, passion and action.
Designed to inspire young children to be confident and engaged citizens who are passionate about making a difference, Ready to Lead is an enriched program that will provide leadership skills that will last a lifetime.
