The following Wind & Tide campuses are offering our Development Programs for school-age children beginning in September:
Kickstart is a bridging program for Kindergarten students that focuses on developing a foundation for reading readiness before advancing into Ready to Read.
Ready to Read is a literacy program for students in Kindergarten to Grade 2 that teaches the tools necessary to excel in all aspects of early literacy (reading, writing, and spelling). It is important that your child meets the foundational prerequisites before starting Ready to Read. The assessment tool can be found here: https://www.windandtide.com/Documents/RTRAssessment.pdf
Toastminors is a public speaking program for students in Grades 2 to 3 that develops communication skills and provides the tools needed to confidently speak in front of a crowd. Students may repeat Toastminors to continue building their confidence.
Toastmajors is for students in Grades 3 to 5. This program challenges students with more advanced speech topics, refined speech-writing techniques, and expanded leadership opportunities. Completion of Toastminors is NOT required.
Ready to Lead is a leadership program for students in Grades 3 to 6 that focuses on public discourse, critical thinking, and applying leadership through action.
The schedules posted above are subject to change before June 1, and may change based on enrolment.
